Dogs don’t feel guilt
A study from Barnard College in New York showed that dogs who were scolded for something they didn’t do looked more “guilty” than those who had actually committed the offense. They react more to our tone of voice and body posture than thinking about any offense they may have committed.
Dogs can see color
While humans see color with 3 cones dogs only have 2 cones. Dogs can see blue and yellow but can’t distinguish between red and green.
Dogs can smell disease
The Schillerhohe Hospital in Germany found that with their keen sense of smell dogs were able to detect cancer in patients. If your dog seems to “understand” when you are sick it might be that they smell the sickness even before you have been diagnosed.
